Injury Report

Jermaine Taylor (King's Bench SG) -Out 1-2 Weeks with Strained Abdomen-
"Yeah. Can I say something? Hey Wade. Wanna know why everyone hates the Heat? Because your "star player" had to have his own television special just to announce he was going to Miami. You guys had a pep-rally claiming it be EASY to beat everyone and win multiple championships. Your coach even likes to tell the media when you guys cry in the locker room. Everyone in the NBA is after you guys. And you asked for it. That's all I have to say."

Post-Game Interviews

Alex Best (King's Head Coach): "I'm not mad at all that we lost. I mean, we ran with the Heat for three overtimes and only lost by two. Oh, and a heads up...we kept with them that long without the offense of Tyreke Evans or the defense of Jason Thompson. We would've won with them in this game."

LeBron James (Heat's Player Of The Game): "No no, there are no what if's. We won this game by outlasting them. We got our points when we needed them. I look forward to playing them again."

An Injured Kings Battle Heat In 3 Overtimes, But Still Gets Loss

The Kings, with Jason Thompson and Tyreke Evans gone along with Jermaine Taylor getting hurt early in the 2nd quater, managed to use their defensive skills and parimeter shooters to stick with the Heat during a LONG, 3 Overtime loss. A fantastic game, with plenty to show:
  • Kings and Heat shot around 50% from the game, so offense wasn't the issue.
  • Both teams got 8 blocks and around 13 turnovers, so defense wasn't an issue either.
  • Heat did not get anything from deep, only 1/13 where the Kings got 16/35
  • 12 fouls against the Kings and only 2 against the Heat.
  • Heat managed 52 points in the paint with Kings only getting 26
  • This game belonged to the Heat during the 4th, until Kings stepped up and got 2 blocks, 2 steals, and managed to draw the game to overtime.
  • In overtime, where the game truely happend, Kings managed 2 blocks and 4 steals.
  • Heat in OT got 10 rebounds, and 11 assists. They also shot 16% better than the Kings, which gave them the lead.
  • Jameer Nelson (PG) - Decent game from the man at the point who was left to lead the team without Tyreke. 6-15, a dismal 3-9 from deep. He did manage a double-double, 15 points and 17 assists, with 3 steals.
  • Jermaine Taylor (SG) - Even though he got hurt, he produced well. 4-5 with a perfect 3-3 from deep. 11 points.
  • James Harden (SG) - Came in for Taylor after the injury. A great 6-15 with 13 points, 5 rebounds, and a great 2 blocks!
  • Omri Casspi (SF) - This man continues to prove his worth to the team. 38 points with 6-14 from deep, 16-27 overall, and 6 rebounds!
  • DeMarcus Cousins (PF) - He also stepped it up. 18 points, 8 rebounds, and a steal.
  • Samuel Dalembert (C) - This man was all over the place today, and should arguably be in the starting lineup. He got 3 blocks, 3 steals, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 points.
  • LeBron James had to carry the team. 14-22, only 0-2 from deep, and 29 points with 5 rebounds, a block, and two steals.
  • Dwayne Wade could not get anything going. He did manage 28 points, but only 10-21 and 1-7 from deep. The 68% from the free-throw line knocked down all 7. He was, however, blocked 4 times in this game.
  • Chris Bosh did stay in the game well. He got 3 blocks, and 16 points.

Heat are now (13-4)
Kings are now (11-10)
